IT Project Manager

Company is currently expanding team and looking for IT Project manager. He/she will be responsible for the delivery of a scoped project. The successful candidate will have a proven background in business analysis and project management, across a variety of functional areas. Position is based in Kaunas, Lithuania.

 

Job description, tasks:

  • Ensuring the project is managed according to the firm’s governance structure
  • Gathering and understanding the user requirements
  • Developing a business case
  • Inputting to the shape of projects offering a pragmatic way forward to finding solutions
  • Liaison with user groups, agreeing acceptance and success criteria and obtaining sign off from the project’s governance bodies
  • Management of the project’s scope and budget
  • Delivery of training and communication plans
  • Contributing to lessons learnt on projects

 

Desired Skills & Experience

 

Qualifications:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a science or math’s based subject
  • Qualification in a recognized project methodology such as PMI
  • Very good English and Russian (written and verbal)

 

Experience:

  • Project management and business analyst experience (4-6 full project lifecycles)
  • Ability to demonstrate a proven background in project delivery, from building business cases that deliver measurable benefits, to minimizing the impact of delivery to the business, through to project closure, as well as an ability to apply a variety of business analysis tools to facilitate requirements gathering, analysis, business process modeling, organization structure and design, stakeholder identification and financial modeling.
  • Ideally he/she is likely to have come from another BI IT firm or Professional Services environment where they would have been involved in process, people and technology projects delivered  through the application of recognized methodologies on a range of both technical and business projects of varying sizes.

 

Managing Resources:

  • He/she will have no formal line management responsibilities: responsibility for his/her own work and providing informal guidance or induction training as a member of a project team as required.
  • He/she will be required to negotiate the use of resources from other departments, offices, vendors and suppliers for part or whole projects.
  • He/she will be required to plan, priorities and allocate expenditure to achieve their work goals within existing budgets.

 

Other significant role requirements:

  •  Ability to travel abroad up to 50-60% work time
